DRUG PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Most of the young people at Livslust-Dzivesprieks have themselves experienced the negative consequences of especially alcohol abuse. As children of parents addicted to different kind of drugs, they themselves are at risk of becoming addicted. To prevent addiction, Livslust is promoting a programme with three main objectives.

   1. To spread information about drugs and their side-effects.
   2. To give young people a chance to develop self-esteem in
       order to be able to resist temptations and group pressure.
   3. To create leisure time opportunities with meaningful and
       stimulating activities.
